One of my essays... Leisure Time

Nowadays young people usually don´t make good use of their leisure time; the television, video games and internet fill almost all their free time and they are losing interpersonal communication and this is being supplanted by technology, violent games and awful television programs.
The main reason of the wrong way of using leisure time could be the rapid development of technology. A lot of children had, almost since they were born, a video game in their hands, that keep them ´quiet´ and let their parents do their work, but also keep the children isolated and this wrong use of technology could develop addictions in them.
There are a lot of violent games, violent television programs and our children are watching these too early in their life and all this information can led them to anger and aggressive behaviour.
On the other hand, if parents are more dedicated, they can choose the kind of television programs that their children watch, and the kind of video games that they are playing, and they can use technology to develop intelligence and better skills in their children by buying educative video games and choosing educative television programs which are available in the market.
Parents can also teach their children how to make good use of their leisure time by suggesting to them another activities which can be more productive, like playing sports, having a hobby, reading books or stimulating personal relationships with their friends and not only being in front of the TV.
The main idea could be avoid any excess, too much of anything is bad. In my opinion things should be equilibrated, and parents must be committed to their children education and they have to provide the right information and guide them. Not only let in school and television the education of their own children but participating and most important, modelling by making good use of their own leisure time.
